Mood Boards

This mood board is for articles and magazines which I like and have helped me with the design of my magazine. I chose we love pop as it is based on pop music and is similar to the style I want however my magazine is for a different target audience.
I like NME's contents page as it is simple but there are a lot of images which is something I want to include in my magazine
I also like Vogue's colour scheme for this issue as the bright pink makes it stand out and it looks girly.
This is my first mood board - I found images which I thought the target audience might like, I have included pop artists and clothes which are suitable for 13-15 year olds. I used images like the lips and heart to make it look more feminine as my target audience is females.

Early Plans

This is my simple flat plan design for my magazine, there will be a lot more detail in the actual magazine but I was unsure of where I wanted things to be so I tried to keep it easy to understand and simple
Names-
Glam!

5 Line Paragraph

Glam is a funky, fresh pop music magazine filled with the latest cool tunes and up to date celebrity news. It is aimed at 13-15 year olds as there is a gap in the market for this age range.
Glam will stay colourful and interesting without looking tacky or similar to other music magazines, there will be lots of extras included in each magazine which will attract the audience, such as freebies and giveaways.
Glam is the latest on trend pop music magazine which will attract at least 3/5 13-15 year olds per issue.

Photo shoot Ideas

Photoshoot Ideas;
My lead artist will be called 'Rosie' a solo pop singer.
I wanted the pictures to show a fun side of the artist so I have tried to make all the pictures look interesting so they grab the readers attention. I wanted the photo shoot to look fun as I want the readers to think that it is something they can do with their friends.

The 'R' is for Rosie, I might use the prop as part of the font in the lead line.

I like this medium close up as it shows the artists features and  I have highlighted the pink and red parts of the image to make it look more feminine

Extreme Close Up -  may be good used in a small box, with a reader question as it is too close up for the front cover.

Masthead Design

This is my final masthead design, I have copied and pasted it from photoshop.
It is a pink glitter background used as the font colour. I have kept the edges a fine black and given the whole masthead a neon pink glow.

These are fonts which I found from dafont, which I thought were suitable for my magazine, I played around with them until I got to my final design.
